In the unavoidable circumstances created due to the sudden lockdown; without compulsion, without any preparation, the 'online education revolution' has ensued. Since the experiment is new, the challenges risks are also new. Like traditional education system, online education also has two main components. Teacher and student. The medium is relatively new in terms of learning for most of the teaching fraternity except a few count teachers. The easiest way for them to teach through this mode was - by taking photographs or scanned copies of the pages of the respective book beforehand, or by drawing them directly or by making their PDF file & then upload or e-mail them to the created WhatsApp groups, it was very easy for students to learn. If we consider the online distribution system of reading material as online education, then it can be assumed that we meet this criterion! Various links of available online course material related to their respective subject are also being shared openly. While online classes are being conducted by some teachers through zoom cloud meetings, Google hangouts etc., but due to the interruption in their continuity due to internet connection speed and connectivity problems, students are unable to march along with their teachers and the content taught to them. Because of this, not only their understanding of the particular subject is affected, but the subject itself seems to be uninteresting to them. Many students, especially those belonging to rural areas or economically backward families, are deprived of these classes due to lack of smart phones for any reason. According to experts, for a child's online classes running at an average of 3-4 hours per day, the cost of 2-3 GB of data per month for is 5-6 hundred rupees, which is unbearable for majority of the parents. In recent times, it has also been seen that some families have started getting into fights over spending more data on each other. The convenient atmosphere of the house stands in opposition to the minimum discipline required for a class room. In the class room, where every student is under the direct supervision of the teacher's CCTV eyes, the technical misuse gives him ample opportunities not to be in the class. In online class for students, asking questions to the teacher and the teacher resolving the problems of the students is also an uphill task. Unlike the lively atmosphere of the traditional classroom, the boring and dull atmosphere of the online classroom also does not allow the curiosity inside the student to open up properly. But overall 'Something is better than nothing'. Yea is better than nay!!
